All of our cats have been examined by a veterinary surgeon, been vaccinated against flu and enteritis, treated against fleas, roundworm and tapeworm and any sick cats have been blood tested for FIV and FeLV. They are also identity chipped and neutered when they are old enough. The cost of all this is around £200 per cat, so we do ask for a standard adoption fee of £50. However, depending on circumstances, we can be flexible. We do not have a homing centre but foster homes spread throughout East Devon where volunteers look after cats until they are homed.

Click on homeless cats to see photos of all our cats in care, if you don't see what you fancy, please call back as this site is updated frequently.

Working Cats

Out of work mousers looking for local employment opportunities!

Our working cats have been taken from farms in the area where they have been breeding year on year. We take them in, neuter them and, if possible, return them to the farm. However, sometimes the farmer is not willing to have them back.

If you need an environmentally friendly rodent controller please contact Gill on 01297 35110 or use the contact us form.

Fosterers wanted in the East Devon Branch

Do you love cats? Would you like to help unwanted, homeless cats? if so fostering for Cats Protection is for you, and all it costs is your time.

Being a fosterer involves taking in cats and kittens that need to be re-homed, getting them vet checked and ready for homing. You receive full support from other members of the branch and there is always someone to turn to for help and advice. And, of course, you make many new friends, human and feline. We provide the food and litter and all other expenses such as vet bills, travelling costs etc.

If you would like to help please contact Jassy on 01884 277438 or Nicola on 01747 833695 for more details.
